My friend Jon is an illustrator and artist and he just submitted a tee shirt design to Threadless. If you haven't seen Threadless before, I recommend it. It's a really cool site where you can get limited edition tees with graphics created by regular arty schmos like you and me.

If you decide he is indeed worthy, please give him some love and vote for his design over there. It's up for the next 4 days.

Who doesn't love a mollusk?

hurts, kinda, to see art right now- when I am so disconnected from the designs in mind and being developed in concept on paper. There was a time when I vacuumed up all the art I could.. not it just hurts, mostly.. to see any more.. until I make room by making my own from my heart..

Interesting drawing.. the kraacken ah. Hurts more. My pseudomyn right there.. waving at me from a T-shirt.

I just quit my job. With hope I can swing getting a studio space, setting up shop, and getting out just one damn piece- a clock design I have had for over a year on paper now- before I subjucate my soul to the ravages of wasted time and potential on a bill-paying job.

I need that hope. I'm getting low. lower than ever.

Craig, I'm sorry. What is it that you feel like you're missing? What is keeping the spark at bay?

Hey, and everyone's gotta have the bill-paying job. All the folks I know who are working as artists have to. But in my opinion it's important to be living and breathing foremost as an artist, choosing that life and surrounding yourself with other people who understand that. That makes the bill-paying less a ravage. You got art peeps in CO?

BTW, I'd like to see your new piece.
