I know folk in them part whr gonna be happy about this- I'm glad for them
You know, I used to be one of those folks who thought, "why not civil unions, it's all the same" but it's true what Sanders says -- it is separate but equal. Unless we make all partnerships civil unions, there will still be discrimination on "married" vs. "civil union."
I'm on board with religious groups having the right to define whether they want to support marrying gay folks in their houses of worship, but as far as government benefits go, it should be the same for everyone.
