An intersection of two things near and dear.

Fashions From Star Trek: The Next Generation

jumpsuits...

so very many jumpsuits...

Never thought much about it until now, but STTNG was definitely rocking a good portion of the Alan Watts fashion model. Trifecta of awesome.

This is, quite frankly, rad.

Keret House Centrala

In Warsaw, Poland in the district of Wola lies a small crack of space between the buildings on 22 Chłodna Street and 74 Żelazna Street. Jakub Szczęsny of Centrala, recognized the potential to create something unique within this narrow area, and derived a design of an art installation entitled Keret House. The house upon completion shall become the narrowest house in Warsaw, measuring an interior that will vary between 122 centimeters and 72 centimeters in its narrowest spot.

I have a love of small spaces, both functionally and very often -- intentionally or not -- as art. This space, curated by a residential art program in Wola, will function to create "creative work conditions" for visiting artists from all over the world. So beautiful, and in its blank canvasses I think there's a serenity that may be perfect for writers and some visual artists.

Happy Independence Day!

I just got back from a week in one of the most iconic of American of cities, New Orleans, Louisiana. First time in Dixie for this one, and it was lovely.

Music, stunning architecture, excellent (if rich) food, some of the best beer around, and some of the nicest folks I've encountered. Definitely shortlisted as a place I could settle, and I can't wait to go back.
